The journey continues through the mountain villages of Central Greece to Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Byzantine-era monasteries perch improbably atop soaring rock pillars. Day 1
Arrival in Athens — transfer from the airport to your hotel; the rest of the day is free.
Day 2
Athens city tour — Panathenaic Stadium, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, then the Acropolis: Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion, and the Parthenon.
Day 3
Delphi & Kalambaka — drive via Thebes and Livadeia to Delphi's Archaeological Site and the Sanctuary of Apollo, then on through Central Greece to Kalambaka.
Day 4
Meteora — explore the rock-pillar monasteries, then return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, and Thermopylae.
Day 5
Departure — morning transfer to the airport.
